Description & Operation: Gauges

The instrument panel incorporates 3 magnetic type gauges: temperature, fuel and oil gauges. Current flows through the coils of each gauge creating 2 opposing magnetic fields. The sending unit used for each gauge is a variable resistor. The resistor varies magnetic field for each gauge which in turn controls needle position. The gauge circuits are protected by fuse No. 10.

Power is supplied to the gauges through the printed circuit from fuse No. 10 when ignition switch is in the RUN position.
