Ignition Switch In RUN Position

  1. Inspect fuses No. 10 and 15. If blown, check for short and replace fuse. If not blown, go to step 2).
  2. Check for battery voltage at battery side of fuse. If battery voltage is present, circuit is okay. Go to step 3). If battery voltage is not present, repair open circuit between fuse block and ignition switch.
  3. Check for battery voltage at terminals No. 16 and 10 of instrument cluster connector "A". If battery voltage is present, circuit is okay. Go to step 4). If battery voltage is not present, repair open circuit between fuse block and terminals No. 16 and 10. See Figure .
  4. Inspect instrument cluster printed circuit for cracks or poor contacts. If no problem is found, go to step 5). If cracks or poor contact points are found, replace printed circuit.
  5. Turn ignition off and disconnect negative battery cable. Check continuity between terminal No. 14 of instrument cluster connector and ground. If continuity is present, circuit is okay. If continuity is not present, repair open circuit between terminal No. 14 and ground.
