Removal & Installation: Tachometer: Removal

  1. Remove cluster assembly. Remove control switch panel. Remove lens screws and lens. Remove screws retaining Black mask and remove mask. See Figure , Figure , Figure and Figure .
  2. Remove all screws and nuts retaining gauge and dial assemblies. Remove gauge and dial assemblies.
  3. Grasp pointer hub and slowly rotate pointer assembly counterclockwise while gently pulling upward on the hub away from dial surface (approximately 5 to 15 turns are required).
  4. Remove screws attaching tachometer to faceplate and remove tachometer assembly from faceplate.
