Removal (1.5L)

  1. Remove the rocker arms and the shafts. Refer to, in this article, ROCKER ARM SHAFT ASSEMBLY . Remove timing belt and camshaft sprocket. See TIMING BELT .
  2. Remove camshaft thrust case retaining bolt. See Figure. Remove rear cover, gasket, thrust plate bolt, thrust plate, camshaft thrust case, camshaft and oil seal from cylinder head. See Figure.
