Installation (1.5L)

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install camshaft thrust case with threaded hole facing upward toward top of cylinder head and aligned with bolt opening of cylinder head. Install thrust case retaining bolt.
  2. With the camshaft installed, coat the camshaft seal contact surface with some engine oil. Using the Seal Installer (MD998306), install oil seal in cylinder head. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure. Adjust valve clearance. Refer to VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT .
