Valve Arrangement

Left Side - All Intake Valves.
Right Side - All Exhaust Valves.

NOTE: Right and left sides refer to engine, as viewed from flywheel.

Inspect valve spring free length, tension, out-of-square and installed height (if available). Replace if not within specification. See ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS tables at end of article. Installed spring height is measured between spring seat and valve retainer. Install all valve springs with painted area toward rocker arm.
