The air dryer has a valve arrangement which maintains a minimum pressure in the shocks to improve ride characteristics under light load conditions. To check this function, proceed as follows:
1. Remove air line from dryer fitting and connect it to gage J-22124-A. Attach air line to dryer fitting and open shutoff valve.
2. Disconnect wiring from compressor solenoid valve terminals and inflate system through gauge fill valve to 50 - 60 psi.
3. Deflate system through compressor service valve. When no more air can be exhausted, the gauge should indicate 7 - 15 psi on all models.
