Fig. 9 Air valve spring adjustment:

1. It may be necessary to remove intermediate choke rod top gain access to lock screw.
2. Loosen lock screw, then turn tension adjusting screw clockwise until air valve opens slightly, Fig. 9.
3. Turn tension adjusting screw counterclockwise until air valve just closes.
4. Turn tension adjusting screw in the counterclockwise direction the additional number of turns noted.
5. Tighten lock screw and apply a light coating of lithium base grease to pin and spring contact area.
