Air Valve Link

Fig. 10 Air valve link adjustment:

1. Position degree scale of gauge J-26701-A at zero.
2. Close air valve, then position gauge on top of valve.
3. Rotate gauge until bubble is centered, then place gauge degree scale at specified degree setting.
4. Using a hand held vacuum pump, seat vacuum diaphragm. If vacuum diaphragm is equipped with a purge hole, place tape over hole to prevent vacuum leakage during adjustment.
5. Apply light opening pressure to air valve shaft and check to see if gauge bubble is centered, Fig. 10.
6. If gauge bubble is not centered, adjust by bending air valve link with tool No. J-9789-111.
