Theory Of Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2024 RAM ProMaster EV. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Body Control Module (BCM) receives the hardwired input signal from the Clockspring indicating that horn operation is requested. The BCM provides a ground path through the horn relay control circuit. The horn relay control circuit connects to the Horn Relay, which when energized provides battery voltage to the Horn. The Horn Relay is located in the Power Distribution Center. For additional information on the Horn operation, HORN SYSTEM .
