Theory Of Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2024 RAM ProMaster EV. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The front left window up, front left window down, front right window up and front right window down relays are integral to the Body Control Module (BCM). When the BCM receives an input signal from the left or right window switch, the BCM activates the appropriate window relay. The window relays are constantly grounded within the BCM until the BCM activates the requested window relay. When the BCM activates requested relay, voltage is sent to the window motor. Ground is supplied to the window motor thorough the opposite window relay. The window relays cannot be replaced individually. Instead, the BCM must be replaced
