Theory Of Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2024 RAM ProMaster EV. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Body Control Module (BCM) receives the input from the Left Multi-function Switch requesting park lamp illumination. The BCM provides a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) voltage output through the Front DRL/Park Lamp Control circuits, the Park Lamp Relay Output circuit, and the Side Marker Park Lamp Feed circuit. These control circuits connect to the Side Marker and Park Lamps. A ground path for the lamps is present through the harness.
