Wiper Linkage Arm
REMOVAL
NOTE:
The wiper linkage module includes the wiper motor.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove both wiper arms from the wiper pivots. Refer to ARM, WIPER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
1 - Screws 2 - Wiper Motor - Remove the cowl plenum cover/grille panels from over the wiper linkage module. Refer to COVER, COWL PANEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect the wire harness connector from the connector receptacle for the wiper motor.
- Disengage the wire harness retainer from the linkage module bracket.
- Remove the three screws that secure the module bracket to the dash panel.
- Remove the wiper linkage module from the dash panel as a unit.
INSTALLATION
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
- Install and tighten the three screws that secure the module bracket to the dash panel. Tighten the screws to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Be certain to turn the ignition switch to the On position, then turn the wiper switch On and Off again to cycle the wiper motor and linkage to their natural park position before installing the wiper arms onto the wiper pivots.
