Diagnostic Test
- TEST FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION
- Turn the ignition on.
- Turn the ignition off, wait ten seconds then turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display: B223B-00-VEHICLE CONFIGURATION MISMATCH?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Use the scan tool to read DTCs in all other modules. If any communication DTCs are present, perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Perform any Technical Service Bulletins that apply. If no problems are found, test is complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST or BODY VERIFICATION TEST (EV) .
- CONFIRM THE RADIO PART NUMBER IN THE VEHICLE
- With the scan tool, confirm the correct Radio part number is in the vehicle.
Is the correct Radio in the vehicle?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Replace the Radio in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to RADIO, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST or BODY VERIFICATION TEST (EV) .
- With the scan tool, confirm the correct Radio part number is in the vehicle.
- PERFORM A PROXI CONFIGURATION IN THE BCM
- With the scan tool, perform the PROXI Configuration in the BCM.
- With the scan tool, record and erase the Radio DTCs.
- Cycle the ignition switch from on to off, wait five seconds and then back to on.
- With the scan tool, read the active Radio DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Replace the Radio in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to RADIO, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST or BODY VERIFICATION TEST (EV) .
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST or BODY VERIFICATION TEST (EV) .
