Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display: B14DB-13-USB_TBMPORT - CIRCUIT OPEN?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST or BODY VERIFICATION TEST (EV) .
CHECK THE USB/MEDIA PORT CABLE
1. Disconnect the USB/Media port cable at the Radio.
2. Disconnect the USB/Media port cable at the USB/Media port.
3. Visually inspect the connectors and related circuit for the following:
  - Proper connector installation.
  - Damaged connector locks.
  - Corrosion.
  - Other signs of water intrusion.
  - Weather seal damage (if equipped).
  - Bent terminals.
  - Overheating due to a poor connection (terminal may be discolored due to excessive current draw).
  - Presence of foreign conductive materials on connector pins and terminals.
  - Terminals that have been pushed back into the connector cavity.
4. Repair any conditions that are found.
5. Reconnect all related component harness connectors. Be certain that all connectors are fully seated and the connector locks are fully engaged.
6. With the scan tool, erase the Radio DTCs.
7. Cycle the ignition switch from on to off, wait five seconds and then back to on.
8. With the scan tool, read the Radio DTCs.
  Did the DTC return?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 3
  No
  - Repairing or replacing the USB hub / Media Port Cable for damage corrected the concern.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST or BODY VERIFICATION TEST (EV) .
CHECK THE USB/MEDIA PORT
1. Replace the USB hub / Media Port in accordance with Service Information. Refer to MEDIA HUB, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
2. With the scan tool, erase the Radio DTCs.
3. Cycle the ignition switch from on to off, wait five seconds and then back to on.
4. With the scan tool, read the Radio DTCs.
  Did the DTC return?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 4
  No
  - Test complete.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST or BODY VERIFICATION TEST (EV) .
CHECK THE RADIO
1. Replace the Radio in accordance with the Service information. Refer to RADIO, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
2. With the scan tool, erase the Radio DTCs.
3. Cycle the ignition switch from on to off, wait five seconds and then back to on.
4. With the scan tool, read the Radio DTCs.
  Did the DTC return?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the USB hub / Media Port Cable.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST or BODY VERIFICATION TEST (EV) .
  No
  - Test complete.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST or BODY VERIFICATION TEST (EV) .
