Axle Seal Installation

NOTE:

Clean the seal bore in the transmission housing with a clean lint-free cloth.

Apply assembly lube on the lip of the NEW seal to avoid damage after installation.

1 - Universal Driver Handle C-4171

2 - Oil Seal Installer 10506

3 - Axle Seal

Using the tools mentioned below with the seal positioned on the installer, install the seal in the transmission.
(Special tool #10506, Installer, Oil Seal) and (Special tool #C-4171, Driver Handle, Universal)
Install the halfshaft. Refer to INSTALLATION .
Verify that the transmission fluid is at the proper level. Refer to FLUID AND FILTER SERVICE .
