Park Rod Guide And Pawl Removal

Remove the transmission from the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL .
Position the transmission on the clean, stable work surface.

Remove the bellhousing from the transmission housing. Refer to BELLHOUSING, REMOVAL .

1 - Reaction Pin

2 - Park Pawl

3 - Return Spring

Compress and release the park pawl return spring.
Pull the reaction pin from the park pawl.
Separate the park pawl from the park rod guide.

Remove the park rod guide bolt and the park rod guide.
