Cable, Shift: Removal

Disconnect the negative cable at the battery.
Remove the center instrument panel cupholder assembly. Refer to CUPHOLDER, INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVAL .
Remove the cupholder support bracket.

2 - Shift Cable Lock Collar
Disconnect the shift cable end at the shifter.

Pull the lock collar to disengage the shift cable from the shifter.

Pull the shift cable lock collar and disconnect the shift cable from the bracket at the transmission.

3 - Shift Cable

From inside the vehicle, remove the shift cable grommet nuts.
Pull the shift cable and grommet assembly through the bulkhead into the passenger compartment.
