TENSIONER, Belt: Removal

  1. Partially remove the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .

  2. Remove the belt tensioner bolt and the belt tensioner (1).
WARNING:

Because of high spring tension, do not attempt to disassemble automatic tensioner. Unit is serviced as an assembly (except for pulley on tensioner).
