3.6L - Without A/C

CAUTION:

Do not let the tensioner arm snap back to the freearm position, severe damage may occur to the tensioner.

  1. If equipped, remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the right lower splash shield.

  4. Rotate belt tensioner until it contacts its stop and remove the serpentine belt. Slowly rotate the tensioner into the free position.
