3.6L - With A/C

CAUTION:

Do not let the tensioner arm snap back to the freearm position, severe damage may occur to the tensioner.

If equipped, remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL .
Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
Remove the right lower splash shield.
Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING .

Disconnect the lower radiator hose (2).
Disconnect the bypass hose (1) from the water pump.

Rotate the belt tensioner until it contacts its stop and remove the serpentine belt. Slowly rotate the tensioner into the free position.
