Diagnostic Test

PERFORM TCM PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE 

1. With the scan tool, attempt to program the TCM with the latest calibrations. Refer to MODULE, TRANSMISSION CONTROL (TCM), MODULE PROGRAMMING .

   Were you able to program the TCM successfully?

   Yes 

   • Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST - 948TE 9HP48 .

   No 

   • Using the schematics as a guide, check the Transmission Control Module (TCM) connector terminals for corrosion, damage, or pushed out terminals. Pay particular attention to the power and ground circuits. If no problems are found, replace and program the TCM in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, TRANSMISSION CONTROL (TCM), REMOVAL .
   • Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST - 948TE 9HP48 .
