Stabilizer Bar, Rear Suspension: Removal

NOTE:

Before proceeding. Refer to WARNING .

NOTE:

The stabilizer bushings are not serviced separately. If they require replacement, the entire stabilizer bar must be replaced.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the left rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .

  3. Remove and DISCARD  the stabilizer link nuts at the stabilizer bar (1).

  4. Remove the four retaining bolts (5) attaching the stabilizer bar to the chassis.
  5. Remove the stabilizer bar from the left side of the vehicle, carefully guiding it over the exhaust.
