Shock Absorber, Suspension: Removal

NOTE:

Before proceeding. Refer to WARNING .

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Position a transmission jack or equivalent under the axle near the shock absorber to be serviced, raising it enough to support the axle.

  3. Remove the shock absorber lower bolt (2) and nut at the axle.

  4. Remove the shock absorber upper bolt (1) and nut at the body bracket, then remove the shock absorber (2) from the vehicle.
