Hub And Bearing: Installation
- Slide the hub and bearing (2) on the spindle.NOTE:
Always install a NEW hub nut (1). The hub nut (1) is one-time use and must be DISCARDED when removed.
- Install a NEW
hub nut (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
.
- The hub nut must be staked as shown in illustration.
- Use the chisel (1) to stake the hub nut (2).
- Install the hub and bearing dust cap (1).
- Install the rear brake rotor. Refer to ROTOR, BRAKE, INSTALLATION .
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Pump the brake pedal several times to make sure the vehicle has a firm brake pedal before moving the vehicle.
