Theory Of Operation

The Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) is a sensing and diagnostic module that is responsible for monitoring and managing hard wired inputs, outputs, bussed messages and contains the vehicles Dynamics Sensor. The module contains the pre-programmed logic to determine if and when a restraint is to be deployed. The Yaw and Lateral Sensors are internal to the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC).
