Housing - Air Distribution

WARNING:

The heater core tubes are not serviced separately from the heater core. The heater core tubes should not be repositioned, loosened or removed from the heater core. Failure to follow this warning may result in a coolant leak and possible serious or fatal injury.

  1. If required, install the mode and blend door actuators onto the air distribution housing.
  2. Position the air distribution housing to the lower HVAC housing.
  3. Install the fasteners and tighten the to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

  4. Connect the HVAC wire harness to the mode and blend door actuators.
  5. Install the foam seal onto the front of the HVAC housing.
  6. Position the heater core tube retainer (1) to the HVAC housing and tighten the fastener (2) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

  7. Position the front of the heater core cover to the air distribution housing and tighten the fastener (3) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  8. Engage the left side floor duct (2) to the air distribution housing.

  9. Position the upper HVAC housing (3) to the lower HVAC housing and the air distribution housing and tighten the fasteners (2) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  10. Install the air inlet housing (1).
  11. Install the A/C expansion valve. Refer to VALVE, A/C EXPANSION, INSTALLATION .
  12. Install the HVAC housing. Refer to HOUSING, HVAC, INSTALLATION .
