Control, A/C And Heater: Description
The A/C heater control for the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system allows one temperature setting for the entire vehicle. The HVAC system uses electrical operated controls to provide the vehicle operator with a number of setting options to help control the climate and comfort within the vehicle. All controls are identified by International Standards Organization (ISO) graphic symbols.
The A/C heater control and control panel are located in center of the instrument panel and contain:
- Air temperature adjustment knob (hot/cold air mixing)
- Passenger compartment air distribution selection knob
- Blower speed selection knob
- Heated rear windshield and exterior rear view mirror defrosting ON/OFF button
- Interior air recirculation ON/OFF button
- Climate control compressor ON/OFF button
The A/C heater control and the control panel cannot be adjusted or repaired and must be replaced if inoperative or damaged. The lamps for A/C heater control illumination are available for service replacement.
