Diagnostic Test

ACTIVE DTC
NOTE:
Diagnose all CAN communication DTCs before continuing.
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With a scan tool, view DTCs.
  Is the status Active for this DTC?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Perform the Stored Lost Communication DTCs diagnostic procedure. Refer to STORED LOST COMMUNICATION DTCS .
CHECK FOR ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) COMMUNICATION RELATED DTCS IN OTHER MODULES
1. With a scan tool check for ABS communication related DTCs in other modules on the CAN Bus.
  Are there any ABS communication related DTCs in other modules on the CAN Bus at this time?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the ABS Module in accordance with the service information.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in accordance with the service information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), REMOVAL .
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
