Diagnostic Test
PROGRAM THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE
NOTE:
An intermittent loss of power to the PCM without performing an ETC Relearn procedure may cause this DTC to set.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs in the PCM.
- Verify the PCM is at the latest calibration (flash level). If necessary, update the PCM in accordance with the Service Information and follow the PCM PROGRAMMING procedure. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
- Start the engine and allow it to reach operating temperature.
- Operate the accelerator pedal. (do not exceed 3500 rpm)
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.NOTE:
Diagnose any other DTCs that may have set with the P062C.
Does this DTC reset by itself?
Yes
- Replace and reprogram the Powertrain Control Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), REMOVAL .
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Test Complete.
