Diagnostic Test
- VERIFY THE DTC IS ACTIVE
- Perform any Service Bulletins that may apply.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
- Cycle the ignition from off to on.
- Press and hold the brake pedal.
- Push the EPB Switch down to release the Electric Parking Brakes.
- Pull the EPB Switch up to set the Electric Parking Brakes.
- Push the EPB Switch down to release the Electric Parking Brakes.
- Release the brake pedal.
- Cycle the ignition from off to on.
- With the scan tool, read EPB DTCs.
Is the DTC active at this time?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension and repair as necessary. If no problems are found, test complete.
- PERFORM THE MAINTENANCE CLOSED ROUTINE
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, in the "Service Procedure Menu" perform the Maintenance Closed routine.
- With the scan tool, erase the DTCs.
- Cycle the ignition from off to on.
- With the scan tool, read EPB DTCs.
Does the DTC remain active?
Yes
- Replace the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module in accordance with Service Information. Refer to MODULE, ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS), REMOVAL .
- Perform the EPB VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to EPB VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time.
- Perform the EPB VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to EPB VERIFICATION TEST .
