Starting (Service Information): Starter: Installation

1. Position the starter (1) to the transmission.

2. Install the starter mounting bolts (4) and tighten to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
3. Connect the starter solenoid electrical connector (1) to starter solenoid terminal.
4. Install the battery cable and nut to the solenoid stud (2) and tighten the nut to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

5. Install the catalytic convertor support bracket (2) and tighten the bolts (1) to the proper. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
6. Install the front catalytic converter. Refer to CONVERTER, CATALYTIC, INSTALLATION .

7. Reposition the wire harness and securely tighten the bolt (1).
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Connect the negative battery cable.
