Relay, Starter: Removal

The starter relay is located in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) (1). The Power Distribution Center is located in the engine compartment near the left inner fender. Refer to label on Power Distribution Center cover for relay location.

1. Remove the Power Distribution Center cover.
2. Remove the starter relay from Power Distribution Center.
3. Check the condition of the starter relay terminals and the Power Distribution Center connector terminals for damage or corrosion. Repair if necessary before installing the starter relay.
4. Check for pin height (pin height should be the same for all terminals within the Power Distribution Center connector). Repair if necessary before installing relay.
