Lower Intake Manifold

Clean and inspect the sealing surfaces. Install new lower intake manifold to cylinder head seals (1).
If removed, install the fuel injectors and the fuel rail to the lower intake manifold. Refer to RAIL, FUEL, INSTALLATION .

Position the lower intake manifold (1) on the cylinder head surfaces.
Install NEW bolts (2) hand tight.

Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

Engage the main wire harness retainer to the rear of the lower intake manifold (3).
Engage the injection/ignition harness retainer from the cylinder head cover.

Connect the fuel injector harness connectors (2).
Connect the fuel supply hose (3) to the fuel rail. Refer to QUICK-CONNECT FITTINGS .
Install the intake manifold silencer pad.
Install the upper intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, INSTALLATION .
Start the engine and check for leaks.
