Engine Block: FLEXPLATE: Installation

  1. Position the flexplate (3) onto the crankshaft.
    CAUTION:

    Do not use an impact socket or a thick walled socket when removing or installing the flexplate retaining bolts, damage to the crankshaft, internal engine or the transmission may occur.

  2. Install the spacer (2) and the NEW  bolts (1) hand tight.
  3. Tighten the flexplate bolts (1) to the proper specifications.in a criss-cross pattern. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Install the transmission. Refer to INSTALLATION .
