Resonator, Exhaust: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Saturate the band clamp nut with rust penetrant. Allow five minutes for penetration.

  3. Loosen the band clamp nut (3).
  4. Separate the muffler (2) from the exhaust resonator.
  5. Using a suitable stand to support the exhaust system.

  6. Remove the exhaust isolators (1) from the exhaust resonator (2).

  7. Remove the front exhaust isolators (1).
  8. Remove the crossunder pipe to exhaust resonator nuts (2) and the exhaust resonator (3).
