Pipe, Exhaust CROSSUNDER: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Saturate the necessary fasteners with Mopar® rust penetrant. Allow five minutes for penetration.
  3. Using a jack or suitable stand, position the stand under the muffler piping to help support and aid in removal of the crossunder pipe.

  4. Remove the crossunder pipe to exhaust resonator nuts (1).

  5. Remove the front catalytic converter to crossunder pipe bolts (3).
  6. Remove the rear catalytic converter to crossunder pipe bolts (1).
  7. Remove the crossunder pipe support bracket bolts (2) and the crossunder pipe (4) from vehicle.

  8. Remove and discard the crossunder pipe gasket (1).
