Center, Electronic Vehicle Information: Description
The Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) features a driver-interactive and reconfigurable display that is integral to the electronic display unit located in the center of the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). There are several versions of the EVIC used in this vehicle for compatibility with certain optional equipment or equipment required for regulatory purposes in certain markets. While each EVIC may have provisions for indicators to support every available option, the configurable indicators will not function in vehicles that do not have the equipment that an indicator supports. The EVIC includes provisions for the following available features:
- System Status
- Vehicle information warning message displays
- Tire Pressure Monitor System - If Equipped
- Personal Settings (customer programmable features)
- Compass display
- Park Assist System - If Equipped
- Outside temperature display
- Trip computer functions
- U-Connect™ hands-free communication system displays - If Equipped
- Navigation system screens - If Equipped
- Audio mode display
- Swivel Seat (if equipped) - The swivel seat message will display on the IPC message center if the front seats are not locked in the forward facing position.
The display options of the EVIC can be navigated and selected using the EVIC push button switches located left of the steering wheel on the instrument panel. For more information refer to the vehicles owners manual.
The EVIC electronic display unit is integral to the IPC unit. If the EVIC is damaged or ineffective, the entire IPC unit must be replaced. Refer to REMOVAL .
