Track, Front Seat: Removal
WARNING:
Disable the airbag system before attempting any component diagnosis or service of the front seats, when equipped with front seat air bags. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the proper precautions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.
- Remove the seat. Refer to SEAT, FRONT, REMOVAL .
- Unclip the cable and remove the cable end from the rotating mechanism latch.
- Unclip any wire harness connectors from the seat riser.
- Move the seat forward and remove the track bolts.
- Move the seat rearward an remove the rear track bolts (1).
- Lift the seat with the tracks, from the rotating mechanism.
- From the bottom side of the seat, move each track (1) as necessary to remove the bolts (2) and the seat track assembly.NOTE:
There is a total of 8 bolts.
