Swivel Seat

WARNING:

Disable the airbag system before attempting any component diagnosis or service of the front seats, when equipped with front seat air bags. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the proper precautions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.

  1. Place the seat into the full forward position.

  2. Pull at the top of the rear riser panel (1) to loosen it, then lift and remove.
  3. Place the seat into the full rearward position.

  4. Remove the two screws (1) and the front riser cover (2).

  5. Remove the three bolts (2) and loosen the parking brake assembly (1) from the seat riser.

  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors (3), and unclip them from the seat riser.
  7. Remove the two bolts (2), then pull the seat assembly (1) forward to unhook the rear feet and remove the seat.
    NOTE:

    The seat is EXTREMELY HEAVY  and will require additional help to remove it from the vehicle.
