Non Swivel Seat

WARNING:

Disable the airbag system before attempting any component diagnosis or service of the front seats, when equipped with front seat air bags. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the proper precautions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.

  1. Remove the seat. Refer to SEAT, FRONT, REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the fasteners (2) and remove the riser side shields (1).

  3. For the side shield with the brake lever, remove the fasteners (1).

  4. Separate the side shield (3) away from the riser and release the brake lever (1) from the opening (2) in the side shield.

  5. Remove the bolts (2) and separate the brake lever (1) from the riser, if equipped.

  6. Remove the front riser bolts (1) and slide the riser forward off the rear stud fasteners.
