Mechanism, Rotating: Removal

WARNING:

Disable the airbag system before attempting any component diagnosis or service of the front seats, when equipped with front seat air bags. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the proper precautions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.

Remove the seat. Refer to SEAT, FRONT, REMOVAL .
Unclip the cable and remove the cable end from the rotating mechanism latch.
Unclip any wire harness connectors from the seat riser.

Move the seat forward and remove the two track bolts.
Move the seat rearward an remove the four track bolts (1).
Lift the seat from the rotating mechanism.
From the bottom side, remove the six bolts and separate the rotating mechanism from the riser.
NOTE:
Take note of the ground wire routing and fastening location.
