Non Swivel - Passenger

WARNING:

Disable the airbag system before attempting any component diagnosis or service of the front seats, when equipped with front seat air bags. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the proper precautions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.

  1. Remove the seatback cover. Refer to COVER, SEAT BACK, FRONT, REMOVAL .
  2. Pull the hook and loop fasteners (3) loose at the rear corners.
  3. From the bottom of the seat release all the J-clip retainers around the perimeter (1).
  4. Remove the hog rings and separate the cover (2) from the cushion.
