Non Swivel - Driver

WARNING:

Disable the airbag system before attempting any component diagnosis or service of the front seats, when equipped with front seat air bags. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the proper precautions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.

  1. Remove the seat. Refer to SEAT, FRONT, REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the side shields. Refer to SIDE SHIELDS, SEAT CUSHION, FRONT, REMOVAL .
  3. From under the seat disconnect all wire connectors for the seatback assembly.
  4. Remove the four bolts and remove the seatback assembly.
  5. Disconnect the front and rear J-strap retainers (1).

  6. Release the side J-strap retainers and separate the seat cushion assembly.
  7. Remove the seat cushion cover assembly (1) from the seat frame.

  8. Cut the hog rings (2) and separate the cover (3) from the cushion (1).
