Non Swivel - Driver

WARNING:

Disable the airbag system before attempting any component diagnosis or service of the front seats, when equipped with front seat air bags. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to follow these instructions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.

  1. Remove the seat. Refer to SEAT, FRONT, REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the armrest. Refer to ARMREST, FRONT, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the headrest.
  4. Remove the lumbar knob (2) by loosening the set screws (1) slightly and pulling it off.
  5. Remove the side shields. Refer to SIDE SHIELDS, SEAT CUSHION, FRONT, REMOVAL .

  6. Place the seat back into the full forward position and release the side zippers (1).
  7. Release the lower J-clip retainers then remove the cardboard backer panel.

  8. Reach up and squeeze the tabs (2), and remove the headrest guides (1).

  9. Disconnect the wire harness connector for seat heater, if equipped.
  10. Lift the cover (2), remove the hog rings (3) and release the hook and loop fasteners (1).
