Cable, Latch: Removal

  1. Remove the push fasteners (2) then the rear door trim panel (1).

  2. If necessary to replace the upper latch release cable, remove the screws (2) and separate the upper door latch (1) from the door.
  3. Disconnect the upper latch release cable (3) from the door latch.

  4. If necessary to remove the lower latch release cable, remove the bolts (3) and separate the lower door latch (1) from the door.
  5. Disconnect the lower latch release cable (2) from the door latch.

  6. Remove the screw (5) then the handle (6) and washer (7).
  7. Remove the bolts (4) and separate the latch linkage (2) from the door.
  8. Disconnect the upper latch release cable (1) or the lower latch release cable (3) from the latch linkage.
