Check, Door: Removal
NOTE:
If the vehicle build date is before 8-23-2017, it is necessary to replace the check straps on both front doors.
- Open the door, remove and discard the fasteners (2) attaching the door check (1) to the A-pillar.
- Using a trim stick or equivalent, remove the speaker cover (1).
(special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick)
- Remove the fasteners (1) and remove the speaker (2). Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove and discard the fasteners (1) attaching the door check to the door.
- Remove the door check seal (1) and remove the door check (2) from the speaker opening.
- If the vehicle build date is before 8-23-2017, discard the check strap.
