Charging (Service Information): Generator: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise the vehicle.
  3. Remove the lower belly pan.
  4. Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .

  5. Release the serpentine belt (1) and position aside. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .

  6. Disconnect the generator field electrical connector (1).
  7. Remove the B(+) nut (2) and remove the B(+) cable (3).

  8. Remove the upper generator bolts (1).
  9. Remove the lower generator bolt (3).
  10. Remove the generator (2) from the vehicle.
