Right HALFSHAFT
CAUTION:
Never allow the halfshaft to hang unsupported from the transaxle or knuckle. Never set the halfshaft on the floor or a hard surface. Place the halfshaft on a safe, soft surface only to minimize damage to the boot.
- Inspect the O-ring at the transmission end of the halfshaft, replace if damaged.
- Install the halfshaft and intermediate shaft assembly into the transmission.
- Install the halfshaft back into front hub and bearing assembly.
1 - Intermediate Shaft Bearing to Bearing Support Bolts - Install the intermediate shaft bearing to bearing support bolts and tighten to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

1 - Ball Joint 2 - Ball Joint Washer 3 - Ball Joint Nut - Install lower ball joint into lower control arm. Install the ball joint nut and washer and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Attach wheel speed sensor and brake wear sensor wiring to routing bracket disc on strut assembly.
- Attach brake hose to routing bracket on strut assembly.
1 - Front Disc Brake Caliper Attaching Bolts 2 - Front Disc Brake Caliper Adapter To Steering Knuckle Bolts - Install the front disc brake caliper assembly and tighten bolts to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .CAUTION:
Seal boot must not be dimpled, stretched or out of shape in any way. If seal boot is NOT shaped correctly, equalize pressure in seal and shape it by hand.
1 - Stabilizer Bar 2 - Stabilizer Bar Link 3 - Stabilizer Bar Link Bushing 4 - Stabilizer Bar Link Washer 5 - Stabilizer Bar Link Nut - Install the stabilizer link bushing, washer and nut. Tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
.NOTE:
Always install a NEW halfshaft nut. The original halfshaft nut is one-time use only and should be discarded when removed.
- Clean all foreign matter from the threads of the outer CV joint. Install a NEW halfshaft nut on halfshaft and securely tighten nut.
- Lower vehicle.
- With the vehicle's brakes applied to keep hub from turning, tighten the halfshaft nut to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

- Stake the halfshaft nut using a chisel.NOTE:
Stake the halfshaft nut correctly to prevent the nut from loosening. Both stakes must be split and bent into the shape shown.
- Install front wheel and tire assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Check for correct fluid level in transmission assembly. Refer to FLUID AND FILTER, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
