Clunking Noise During Acceleration

SYMPTOM POSSIBLE CAUSE REPAIR
CLUNK OR SNAP NOISE DURING LAUNCH OR WHEN SHIFTING INTO DRIVE OR REVERSE GEAR. 1. Loose hub nut.
2. Damaged hub splines.		 1. Replace hub nut.
2. Replace hub bearing and halfshaft.
CLUNKING NOISE AT LOW SPEED. 1. Severely worn or damaged tripod or Constant Velocity (CV) joint. 1. Replace halfshaft.
RATTLE OR CLUNK OVER BUMPS. GREASE IS SLUNG AROUND THE UNDERCARRIAGE. 1. Loss of lube in CV joint boots. 1. Replace halfshaft.
